Предлагаю альтернативу: ретро-игры со старых консолей, в которые многие из нас играли несколько десятков лет назад. Самое время вспомнить!
Мы уже рассказывали, как запустить олдскульный хардкор на экране своего телевизора. А сейчас научим играть в консольные игры прямо на iPhone или iPad без джейлбрейка.
Как установить эмулятор старых консолей на iPhone
Разумеется, нам потребуется эмулятор, который просто так не найти на просторах App Store.
Я уже рассказывал, как можно устанавливать любые приложения на iPhone без джейлбрейка. При желании можно установить качалку для торрентов, удаленную из App Store игру или любое другое приложение, которого по каким-то причинам нет в магазине.
Аналогичным образом сейчас мы и установим нужный нам эмулятор.
1. Загружаем альтернативный установщик приложений AltStore на iPhone. Сделать это довольно просто, вот понятная и исчерпывающая инструкция.
2. После установки программы находим в ее каталоге приложение Delta lite.
Это довольно стабильный эмулятор ретро-игровых консолей Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color и Game Boy Advance. Утилита простая и не особо функциональная. Подойдет для желающих попробовать старые игры или немного поностальгировать.
Если же вы хотите всерьез и надолго погрузиться в атмосферу олдскульных аркад, лучше выбрать более функциональный эмулятор.
3. Скачиваем установочный ipa-файл эмулятора PPSSPP с сайта разработчика. Нужно загружать специальную версию для устройств без джейлбрейка.
Это эмулятор некогда популярной портативной консоли PSP от Sony. Она имеет обширную базу игр, позволяет запускать большинство проектов для первой Sony PlayStation или устанавливать другие эмуляторы, например, для приставок SEGA, Dendy или Game Boy.
4. Открываем файл на смартфоне через приложение AltStore и устанавливаем его.
Все! Теперь на вашем смартфоне можно запустить практически любую старую игру из детства.
Где искать старые игры и как их загружать
Когда эмулятор консоли установлен, остается только скачать старые любимые игры для него.
? Скачать так называемые “ромы” для NES/Dendy, Nintendo или Nintendo 64 можно, например, здесь.
Обычно файлы распространяются в архивах. Распаковать обычный ZIP можно при помощи стандартного приложения Файлы прямо на iPhone, пакеты других форматов можно “разжать” по инструкции.
Либо скачивайте архивы на компьютер и отправляйте необходимые файлы по AirDrop. Кстати, в архиве можете обнаружить несколько разных “ромов”. Это версии игры для разных регионов или взломанные версии игр с читами. Подбирайте подходящую и играйте.
Файлы при открытии автоматически попадут в приложение Delta lite, для большинства игр будет загружена обложка.
? Образы игр для PSP найдете самостоятельно на известных всем сайтах и форумах.
Файлы в формате ISO или CSO необходимо переместить в папку приложение PPSSPP. Удобнее всего это сделать подключив iPhone к компьютеру и сохранив файлы через iTunes (на старых версиях macOS) или через Finder (в macOS Catalina и новее).
При желании получится обойтись и без компьютера, но это будет не так удобно.
Какие впечатления от олдскульных игр на iPhone
Играть на сенсорном экране iPhone в подобные игры непривычно, но уже через несколько минут начинает что-то получаться. На сложные комбо или fatality в Mortal Kombat рассчитывать не стоит, но в остальных играх все возможно.
В приложении Delta lite есть два режима игры. В портретной ориентации нижнюю часть дисплея занимает блок с кнопками и крестовиной, а верхнюю картинка в формате 3:4. С таким хватом очень удобно держать смартфон и пальцы не перекрывают картинку.
В ландшафтном режиме картинка размещается посередине дисплея. Справа при этом видны кнопки, а крестовина находится слева.
В приложении Delta lite есть возможность сохранять прогресс. Это делается через специальное меню. Пройти олдскульные хардкорные игры без сейвов или кодов получится далеко не у всех. Еще одна удобная фишка – автоматическое зажатие любой кнопки.
В большинстве игр можно сразу же включить “залипание” для кнопки стрельбы или ускорения, а самому сконцентрироваться на крестовине и оставшихся клавишах. В этом же меню есть раздел для ввода чит-кодов.
Через Delta lite я сразу же опробовал любимые Mortal Kombat, Rock n’ Roll Racing, Марио, разные версии Contra, червяка Джима, микро-машины и другие шедевры из детства.
Играть удобно в любой ориентации экрана, а возможность сохранятся серьезно бережет нервы.
Игры с PSP вызывают не меньший наплыв ностальгии и ламповые чувства. Хоть подобная консоль и появилась у многих уже в более старшем возрасте, но и с тех времен есть что вспомнить.
Можно запустить любые спортивные симуляторы без доната, паков и сундуков. Любителей RPG обязательно порадуют все части Final Fantasy, Mega Man, Dynasty Warriors и Lord of the Rings.
Не забывайте о крутых файтингах Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat и Smackdown Vs Raw. А еще есть представители лучших гоночных аркад Test Drive Unlimited, Midnight Club 3, Flatout Head On, Need for Speed – Most Wanted и Burnout.
Из-за более сложного управления, которое разрабатывалось в расчете на физические кнопки, некоторые игры превращаются в лютый хардкор. Большинство приложений прощают огрехи и позволяют более или менее комфортно проходить сюжетную линию.
Сам эмулятор PPSSPP имеет тонны настроек графики, звука и управления. Все работает по дефолту, но любители подкрутить настройки под себя обязательно найдут нужные переключатели.
В итоге остался очень доволен установленными приложениями, а iPhone на неделю точно заменил мне игровую консоль.

How To : Play Sega Master System Games on Your iPad and iPhone
The Master System, more popularly referred to as the Sega Master System, or SMS for short, is a video game console that was released in the mid-1980’s as a direct competitor to the original Nintendo (NES).
While it was given credit for playing a role in the development of its predecessor, the immensely popular Sega Genesis, it didn’t fare too well in the United States due to its limited game library and the dominance of Nintendo at the time.
But if you never had your chance at playing the Master System, or you absolutely loved playing it back in the day, we’re going to show you how to play Sega Master System games on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with a free, no-jailbreak-required emulator.
Update 5/15/18: This emulator runs on iPhones running iOS 5.1—8.0.2. If your iPhone is running any iOS version later than 8.0.2, this method will not work.
Step 1: Download & Install Gearsystem
Using Safari (or another web browser) on your iPad or iPhone, head over to iEmulators.com, go to the Apps tab, scroll down until you find Gearsystem (the Mega System emulator), and tap on Install.

Note: You will need to be running at least iOS 5.1, and this will not work on the iOS 8.1 beta.
A popup will appear asking if you would like to install Gearsystem, so tap Install, then quickly head to Settings -> General -> Date & time and toggle off Set Automatically. You’ll then have to set the date back just one day. The application will begin downloading, but if not, hit Retry when prompted.
Note: If setting the date back just one day does not work, set it back to any time in 2012.

Gearsystem will now be installed on your home screen and you can set the date back to current after opening the app for the first time. Open the emulator and tap Trust when prompted.
After you do this, go back into your device Settings and change the date back to automatic. Changing the date back before opening up Gearsystem may force-close it, so you’ll need to change the date back a day again.
Step 2: Open Gearsystem & Add Game ROMs
Seeing as this is an emulator, no games will come packaged for you to play, meaning you’ll need to download Gearsystem game ROMS. For all intents and purposes, it should be noted that downloading ROMs without you physically having owned the games is illegal, but we can’t stop you from doing what you’re going to do.
Using Safari (through sites like CoolRom), download a ROM, then select the Open in «Gearsystem» option that appears in the top right corner of the web browser—your ROM will appear under Games in Gearsystem.

Step 3: Play Sega Master System Games
Unlike other emulators, Gearsystem is very simple: a control pad with two action buttons and a pause key make up all of the controls—reminiscent of the original joystick.

As for settings, there are none. No saving, no loading, no reseting; all settings are nonexistent. Since there are no way to save, you’ll have to play consistently and not allow your phone to restart or die, since that would restart the game.
While this may bother some, it’s actually nice to see a very minimal design for an emulator. The controls are extremely smooth and incredibly easy to use, and the graphics are also exceptional, so that should be enough for most.

Delta (Game Boy, N64, SNES)
Один из лучших вариантов, если вы любите игры от Nintendo. Delta можно рассматривать как более продвинутую версию эмулятора GBA4iOS. Этот эмулятор поддерживает множество N-консолей: Game Boy, Game Boy Color и Game Boy Advance, NES и SNES, N64, Nintendo DS.
Есть поддержка сейв-стейтов, включая быструю загрузку/сохранение, синхронизацию данных с использованием Google Drive и Dropbox, использование читов. Можно подключать контроллеры от PS4, Xbox One и MFi, а также беспроводные и проводные клавиатуры. Можно настроить свой маппинг кнопок.
Provenance (Nintendo, Sony, Sega, Atari)

iNDS (Nintendo DS)
Где-то и когда-то этот эмулятор был доступен только для патронов разработчика на одноимённом сайте. Сегодня я не смог найти ни одной нормальной ссылки на него, поэтому в конце блока ссылка на какой-то левый сайт.
Если всё OK, то с помощью iNDS вы сможете поиграть в игры с Nintendo DS. При этом даже не понадобится делать джейлбрейк устройства. Конечно, здесь есть сейв-стейты, синхронизация данных через Dropbox и поддержка чит-кодов.
PPSSPP (Sony PSP)
Этот эмулятор поможет запускать игры с PlayStation Portable (PSP). Всё это, как и положено, с поддержкой сейвов и читов. Круто, что он поддерживает импорт реальных сейвов с PSP.
Не круто, что нет синхронизации данных. А управление выводится на экран, поэтому вам нужен большой экран.
RetroArch (Atari, DOS, Genesis, PC Engine)
Здесь есть поддержка множества различных консолей, а сам эмулятор доступен на всех популярных операционных системах. Среди спискаконсолейесть: Game Boy, SNES, PlayStation, Atari, DOS, MSX, Neo Geo Pocket, PC Engine, Sega Genesis (Mega Drive).
Кнопки геймпада выводятся на экран и не меняются в зависимости от выбранной консоли. Можно делать сейвы, запускать определённый сейв при старте эмулятора, блокировать сейвы от перезаписи. Есть даже поддержка совместной игры по сети.
Eclipse
Сравнительно молодой эмулятор. И установить его легко. Для этого достаточно зайти на сайт с iPhone и протапать по кнопкам.
Поддерживается импорт ROM’ов из Google Drive. А среди поддерживаемых консолей вы найдёте: NES, SNES, Game Boy и Game Boy Color, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear.
В отличие от других эмуляторов, не нужно искать образы игр. Тут они есть в специальной библиотеке.

There are plenty other alternatives to RetroGamesBot, however there isn’t anything else I can find that doesn’t require you to sign in to your Google Drive account.

Some of the steps mentioned here you can skip them if you have done it before. In summary, here they are.
Step 1) Install iTunes on Computer.
Step 2) Register for Apple FREE Developer Account.
Step 3) Generate App Specific Password.
Step 4) Install AltStore to Computer.
Step 5) Connect your iPhone.
Step 6) Install AltStore to iPhone.
Step 7) Get the latest RetroArch build for iPhone.
Step 8) Install RetroArch to iPhone.
Step 9) Run RetroArch on iPhone.
Step 1) to Step 6) Read here.

You need about 15-30 minutes, depends on your internet connection to complete everything – since mostly are either downloading software or registering account.
Once you have done all the first 6 steps, then continue on subsequent steps below.
I have got AltStore installed.
Step 7) Get the latest RetroArch build for iPhone.
Step 7a) Get RetroArch. Due to the reason stated above, unfortunately we can’t really use the latest built for RetroArch, but instead to use any newer build that has size <= 311MB.

Step 7b) Download the RetroArch.ipa file directly using your iPhone. Click the link above from Safari browser. Once downloaded, the file shall be stored under your Files app. In case you don’t know, IPA (.ipa) is short for iOS Application Package (iOS app/game file – it’s like EXE file for Windows or APK file for Android). In case you don’t know where Safari put the downloaded file, configure it here: Configure Safari default download folder for iOS at JILAXZONE.
Step 8) Install RetroArch to iPhone.
| Prerequisites: Before proceeding to the steps below, ensure you have done Step 1) until Step 7) and ensure you have AltServer running on your Computer and your iPhone plugged in to the same Computer that AltServer is running. |
With iPhone connected to your computer with AltServer running, follow these steps:
Step 8a) Run AltStore app.
Step 8b) Inside AltStore, go to “My Apps” tab.
Step 8c) Tap on “+” button located on the top left of AltStore screen.
Step 8d) Navigate to the download folder where you have downloaded RetroArch.ipa file. Tap on the file to begin installing. In case prompted, key-in your Apple ID and password – this is required for code signing.
RetroArch should now in-progress being installed to your iPhone, you just need to wait until it finished installing. Once finished installing, it will appear on “My Apps” tab under “Active” section.
Just to be sure, you can go back to your iPhone Home screen and check whether you can see “RetroArch” app icon on the Home screen. If you can see “RetroArch” app on your Home screen, that means you have successfully installed it. Congrats! At this point, you can safely remove your iPhone from your computer.
Step 9) Run RetroArch on iPhone.
Running RetroArch on iPhone is as simple as tapping the icon. If this is your first time opening RetroArch, you won’t see any retro games on it. You need to get your own games for it.

To start playing SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive games on your iPhone, do the following steps (this is the easiest steps):
a) Go to Files app, navigate to the folder where you transferred your SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive games earlier. Tap and hold on the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive ROM file, select “Copy”.
b) Still inside Files app, this time navigate to On My iPhone > RetroArch > RetroArch > downloads.
c) Inside RetroArch downloads folder, tap on anywhere with blank space, the select “Paste”. Redo step a) to c) for the rest of your SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive games. Once done, you can close Files app.
d) Now open RetroArch app. Under RetroArch Main Menu, tap Load Content > Downloads. Now you should be able to see your SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive games you have pasted earlier in this folder.
e) Select the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive game you wish to play by tapping on the game itself.
f) When asked to select the cores, scroll down until you see and find “Sega – MS/GG/MD/CD (Genesis Plus GX Wide). Tap on the core to start playing.
That’s it! Congratulations to you for your hard work installing RetroArch on your iPhone. Now it’s the time for you to enjoy playing all those SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive games straight from your iPhone, anywhere anytime you like.
Play better with Controller!
Playing retro games is always better with controller!
While you can always use the touchscreen of the iPhone to play the games, but for greater fun and enjoyment, I would recommend you to play the games with the Controller using physical buttons – so the experience is (almost) the same like the original. Just in case you need recommendation, here they are. I am personally using Nimbus and DualShock 4 to play the games.
